The Mets travel to Milwaukee to take on the 2-1 Brewers. On Monday April 3rd, we get our first look at Carlos Carrasco in 2023. The other 2 games will be headlined by Scherzer and Peterson as we make our full revolution around this 5 man rotation. It’s a 3 game series and the expectation is to walk away taking 2/3.

I think I can confidently speak for all Mets fans here when I say I expect a little more offense in this upcoming series. The starting pitching might be a bit better here in Milwaukee as opposed to Miami, assuming we see Corbin Burnes in the series finale on Wednesday afternoon. You want to get back to the bread and butter of what worked in 2022. Get these pitcher’s pitch-counts high, get them to keep throwing to you as much as possible and find a way to get on base. Get to the Brewers bullpen as early as possible and make them uncomfortable. Defensively, Lindor looked fantastic this weekend, but at the plate, it wasn’t great. I want to challenge Francisco to be a bit more patient and work the count a little better. He’s a catalyst for this offense and if he isn’t producing, the rest of the team feels it. We need him ripping the ball deep into the outfield, bringing everyone on base home. That’s what he’s capable of, we need Lindor to be that guy. Especially when you’re hitting second and third in the lineup, you are the guy Buck is counting on to bring guys home and create a seperation between yourselves and the other team.

The weather report seems to be clear Monday and Wednesday. Tuesday looks a little shaky, I currently see showers during the day into the night at 46 degrees. Hopefully things are clear by 7 PM. Rescheduling this game would be brutal considering the Mets don’t come back to Milwaukee for the rest of the regular season. Let’s keep the ball rolling and LFGM!!
